During the week that my December 15, 2002 cartoon ran in the Palm Beach Daily News, the Palm Beach Town Council was coming to the conclusion that maintaining a neutered feral cat population was a better strategy than trapping and removing them. The neutered cats would jealously guard their territory against any newcomers, whereas trapping and removing them would just open the door for new un-neutered cats. Still, some residents who lived in proximity to these cat colonies were not to thrilled with the idea.

This is one of the cartoons that made the cut to appear in my book, Billionaires and Butterfly Ballots, A 20-year Palm Beach ‘Cartoonspective,’ which is currently ON SALE for the holidays.
